Dumka-based producer DJ Sahil AiM aka Sahil Hansda offers up his latest single, the dreamy instrumental track “Gilferari”, DJ Sahil AiM’s sound on “Gilferari” appropriately lends itself to a wistful yet wordless palette that’s centered around nostalgia and past selves.
The song is a throwback to DJ Sahil AiM’s early days of producing EDM/house music, or what he refers to as his “old signature style.” The track is an ode to DJ Sahil AiM’s past self and his more carefree days when he was still in school. But even though it references his old self, it also speaks about how he has grown as an artist since then: “I’m so grateful for everything that happened in [my] life since then because it made me who I am today — a better person. And I know that if this song helps anyone going through something similar, then it was worth making and sharing with others.
